Jonas is made from a green glass of high quality. It’s a soft vessel for serving various drinks: wine, water, mead, beer, etc.

Surface is covered in tiny air bubbles. Lower part of glass is decorated with buttons similar to those from Fructus glass - available here. Foot of this model is doubled and rounded.

Design of this glass is characteristic for the late medieval vessels.

Medieval craftsmen took great pride in decorating their work. One of the common ways to decorate drinking glasses was to put knobs (or bumps) on them. This also served to make the glasses less slippery, and less likely to be dropped when used. Our handmade glasses with knobs are modelled after glasses used in the later part of the Middle Ages.

Measurements:
Height - 12,5 cm

Glass of this type is often named as Krautstrunk. Similar examples come from the area of Germany and currently are stored in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and in The Corning Museum of Glass.
