Medieval straps with aiglets are a necessary part in many garments, both medieval clothing for women and medieval clothing for men. These medieval laces are helpful in attaching hose to suspender belt or pants to doublet. On the other hand, medieval dresses like our dress of type 2 or type 4, need laces with aglets to tie them in front and on sides.
Medieval straps with brass point were depicted on former paintings. A sample of these laces with aiglets for tying a medieval clothing for men can be found on 15th century fresco in San Florenzi church in the Italian town Bastia Mondovi.
