Purpoint Sir Robert is a type of gambeson for any medieval fights lover. This medieval gambeson combines good mobility with light weight. As it is based on historical sources, one can wear it during reenactment events and HMBIA tournaments.
This purpoint was designed especially for medieval fights, especially for HMBIA events. This piece of clothing is made of linen with linen lining. The purpoint of this type has vertical stitchings on the torso and the upper part of sleeves. Forearms have horizontal stitchings.
Sir Robert purpoint has also a short collar. It is closed with 4 leather straps. This solution makes the closing of the gambeson simple and fast which will be surely appreciated by competitors of medieval fights and the fans of HMBIA in general.
Every medieval fight lover knows how important are low weight and mobility. These factors make this model a perfect choice for HMBIA medieval fights. The low weight was achieved by using the new type of filling - woolen felt. Sir Robert purpoint has two layers of amortization on chest area (Y7b) and one layer in the rest of the jacket (Y7a). Such solution makes our gambeson perfect for any medieval fight.
More information about thickness you can find here.
High level of mobility is another important factor here. To meet the expectations of HMBIA medieval fights enthusiasts, we have created a new sleeve pattern - so called “inverted elbow”. That’s why our aketon doesn’t go up and doesn’t hinder the movements during usage.
Another extremely important feature in the clothing designed for medieval fighting is the presence of armor attachment points. You will find these in three sections of sleeves: on elbows, arms, and shoulders, in a form of openings which will ease the process of attachment. We believe this solution will be appreciated by every HMBIA medieval fight enthusiast.
As a purpoint is based on historical sources, you can also wear it during reenactment events where there is stronger emphasis on historical correctness.

Woolen felt - lightweight and natural solution for medieval fighting purpoint
Woolen felt used for the production of this purpoint has numerous advantages. HMBIA medieval fighting enthusiast will surely appreciate high level of hygroscopicity - it can absorb a lot of moisture without feeling of the gambeson being wet.
