The Römer glass is a model made from green glass, dedicated to containing various drinks, like wine. It has a spherical head and cylindrical stem with decorative glass lumps and round foot.

This glass was commonly used from the end of the 15th century even up to the 19th century. First mentions about the so called roemsche glassere occurred in the 2nd half of the 15th century from the German territory. This type of a goblet, of a slightly modified shape, became popular also on the Netherlands territory. This shape is also available in our shop (here).

The source of our Römer goblet can be the vessel found in Elbl±g, made from a glass colored on dark or light green. Up to now those glasses are stored in the local Museum of Archeology and History.
