Bartholomeus is made from green glass. It is the most characteristic wine bottle from the medieval period. It was known even earlier, and remained popular up to the 18th century.

Surface of a bottle is decorated with air bubbles. Bartholomeus has a pudgy bottom and long, narrow neck finished with a cork. There is a rounded decorative ring on the upper part.

In the Middle Ages, wine was typically kept and sold in barrels. For serving purposes, the wine would be decanted into a bottle and brought to the table. Our craftsmen have created handmade copies of typical bottles of the period. But they can be used for more than wine - they are great for water, milk, juice, etc.

Measurements:
Height - 18.5 cm (7.28 inches)
Capacity - 900 ml (1.9 pints)

Like we mentioned before, the design of Bartholomeus bottles became very popular over the past. An example of this glass from the 15th century can be found in Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam.
